Power Minister Nilesh Cabral on Tuesday evening said that he never received a call from AAP Delhi MLA Raghav Chadha.
“He is nobody to dictate terms to me. He is not Goan public. I had stated clearly that he is free to visit my office to discuss this matter. If they want to debate on Goa’s power model, they should send their Power Minister and I am ready to debate anytime,” Cabral said.
Cabral charged that Goa handles its own finances while Delhi’s finances are handled by the Central Government making it easier for the AAP government to make big leaps.
He further stated that Goa Government can also give free electricity if it stops its flagship schemes such as Griha Adhaar, Laadli Laxmi and Dayanand Social Security Scheme and that a lot of progress can be made in the health sector along the lines of Delhi if Goa government does away with subsidies.
