Refloat Lucky 7 immediately: HC tells the owners

PANAJI:
Speaking to The Goan, Advocate General Dattaprasad Lawande informed that the High Court has taken a serious note of the grounding of the vessel and has asked that the vessel be refloated immediately.
"The High Court has said that till the time they do not refloat the vessel, they will not hear the case further," Lawande informed.
At an earlier hearing the Advocate General assured that action shall be taken in accordance with law and directions have also been issued to treat it as a salvage vessel and the process with that regard is already in progress.
Earlier, the State Government and the Golden Globe Hotels sparred before the High Court over the grounding of the vessel.
While the Advocate General told the court that one of the specific conditions which were required to enable the petitioner to bring the vessel in was that three tugs had to be provided by the petitioner.
He said that no such third tug was kept in place which led to the drifting of the subject vessel on account of the bad weather whilst getting the vessel as a refuge vessel.
He also pointed out by the learned Advocate General that the weather condition at that relevant time were not conducive for such exercise and that they had not not verified that the third tug nor granted any permission to Golden Globe Hotels to move the boat in.
However, advocates for Golden Globe Hotels disputed that and pointed out that the they had not committed any breach of the conditions imposed.
