Congress MLA Reginaldo Lourenco on Saturday said not all appears to be well with the coalition government in view of the comment made by Goa Forward Party chief and TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai on the health of the government.

“The minister who spoke about plan B, plan C, plan E and plan F is suddenly talking about the health of the government. I think something is wrong somewhere,” Reginaldo told the media on Saturday.

Reginaldo had shared the dais with the TCP Minister at the Tribal Lok Utsav when the latter had remarked on the government health while mooting a project for the tribal community.

Reginaldo, however, said that Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Chief Girish Chodankar will be the right person who can answer the question whether the Congress will form an alternate government in the event of a collapse of the coalition.

“My friend Girish Chodankar will be in a position to answer the question of formation of an alternate government. I am just an MLA, my party will take a decision. I don’t want to create confusion in the party. Making statements and creating confusion is not my cup of tea. I am a bit careful now since my statements had given them the fodder to complain to the high command against me,” he said, but hastened to add that people of Goa require a good government.

“I know that Goa needs a good government. In this respect, I am ready to sacrifice so that the people get a good government,” he said, adding that he is a Congressman, having been elected thrice by the people of Curtorim.
