Renowned physician, Dr Satish Phaldesai, who has been practicing in Cuncolim, has passed away on Thursday after a brief illness.He is survived by his wife and two children. His son is a practicing doctor at GMC and his daughter is studying in Delhi.
Hailing from Balli village, Dr Satish was known as a dedicated doctor, soft spoken and a down to earth personality, always welcoming his patients with a smile.
He was the Chairman of The Cuncolim Urban Co-operative Credit Society Ltd having two branches in Cuncolim and Canacona.
The villages of Cuncolim and Balli were shocked to hear the sad news of his demise. A large number of people paid their last respects at his residence at Balli.
