Request for land on lease to set up pressure regulating units rejected

Adani Gas Pvt Ltd request to the Margao Municipal Council to provide land on lease for installation of pressure regulating units in the commercial capital found no takers amongst the City Fathers.

The Indian Oil Adani Gas Pvt Ltd had made a request to the MMC to issue land on lease admeasuring 5x5 square meters at three locations for the installation of pressure regulating units to supply uninterrupted gas to households. Adani Gas had further requested the civic body to provide land admeasuring 2,000 square meters for opening CNG fuel station to supply environmentally clean fuel to vehicles.

During discussions, councillors called for rejecting the proposal, saying the civic body has no land at its disposal to lease the same to the Indian Oil Adani Gas Pvt Ltd.
