The Department of Art and Culture had organized organised a State-level Crib competition during Christmas in two categories -- Institution/Group and Individual/Household -- from December 26 to 30, 2020, as part of promotion and preservation of this age-old tradition of crib making in Goa. In the Institution/Group category 23 groups participated and 43 individuals competed in the Individual/Household category. A panel of three jury members comprising of Sachin Naik, Alvito D'Costa and Fr George Nandiyala judged the contest.
In the Institution/Group category, Santa Cruz Boys, Nagoa-Salcete won the first place; Dandora Boys, Cuncolim bagged the second prize; and Holy Cross Mollar Boys, Khursabhatt, Velim-Salcete came third.
In the Individual/Household category, Annifa Fernandes Home Sweet Home Crib, Ralloitollem, Cumborda, Curtorim won the first prize; Shaun Pereira, Teo Villa Chimbel bagged the second place; and Anson Menezes, Opa Khandepar-Ponda came third.
