The New Year 2021 began on a strong note with no Covid-related deaths being reported in the State’s mortality bulletin on Friday.
Mere 69 new cases of the infection were detected from among the 1,463 samples tested in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of four lakh persons have been tested in Goa for Covid-19 so far.
A total of 51,135 confirmed cases have been recorded so far of which 49,466 have recovered so far while 930 are currently active. The recovery rate stands at 96.74 per cent.
There have been a total of 739 Covid deaths recorded in the State till date.
