The Ponda fire station received about 24 calls regarding uprooted trees on Tuesday and Wednesday.
A house belonging to Subhash Naik from Shiroda was damaged after a tree fell on it, resulting in a loss of about Rs 50,000.
"One garage at Khadpabandh was also damaged after a tree uprooted on it. We cleared the trees that had fallen," Ponda fire station staff informed.
Incidents of falling of trees were also reported at Dharbandora, Shiroda, Savoiverem and Shantinagar.
Vehicles which were parked in front of a building at Dhavali-Ponda were damaged after a retaining wall collapsed in the wee hours of Wednesday.
G N Gawas, G G Naik, A S Bethodkar, G R Phadate, C M Narvekar, B T Gaonkar, P Pednekar, G N Naik, A Clement, S N Naik, Rupesh Salelkar and other fire personnel helped in clearing the debris.
Retaining wall collapses at Dhavali
One four wheeler and some motorcycles were damaged after a retaining wall collapsed at Dhavali-Ponda on Wednesday.
