Rider killed in Sanquelim mishap

A 49-year-old rider was killed when a car rammed into a motorcycle near Dr Raju Kamat’s house at Sanquelim on Saturday evening.

According to police reports, the mishap took place at about 6.30 pm when a car was driven by Rajen Zore of Bhuipal-Honda, Sattari, and a motorcycle was driven by Sandesh Naik of Marciam-Ponda. Both vehicles were proceeding from Sanquelim towards Honda.

The rider was seriously injured and was shifted to CHC Sanquelim and while undergoing treatment succumbed to his injuries.

Bicholim police registered an offence under Sections 279, 304-A IPC and PSI Sunil K. Patil is investigating the case.
