During the hearing, Prabhu also rejected a similar complaint filed by Sangita Bhosle against Sunita Devi Yadav, as Bhosle failed to produce relevant documents to support her claim.
Prabhu stated that the complaint filed by Phadte had been rejected, since the Supreme Court
guidelines clearly stated that nobody could be debarred form contesting election on grounds of having multiple EPIC cards.
“The complaint filed by Bhosle that Sunita Devi Yadav also possessed two EPIC cards was rejected as Bhosle failed to produce relevant documents to support her claim,” said Prabhu.
“Other complaints filed against two other candidates sarpanch Neelima Naik and Archanna Kore were also rejected as
the complainants failed to produce the relevant document,” he added.
Later speaking to the media, Kamla Prasad Yadav said the complaint filed against him and his wife were false and intended to malign his image.
“The complaints are politically motivated to malign our image and to stop us from contesting the panchayat elections,” said Yadav.
