In a written reply to an unstarred questioned by Aldona MLA Glenn Ticlo in the assembly, Dhavalikar also informed that various other works like construction of retaining walls, improvement of roads, clearing of bushes and removal of potholes, post-monsoon repairs of various roads, etc. to the tune of Rs 3.66 crore were in progress in various parts of Aldona constituency.
This included improvement and widening of road
from Bhandeshwar Devasthan to Gavar junction in Aldona at tendered cost of Rs 2.78 crore and construction of retaining wall for improvement of accident prone zone on MDR 9 at Patto in Pomburpa at Rs 36.40 lakh.
Two other major works - improvement and widening of road with footpath and protection wall from Tarikode to Moira bridge at an estimated cost of Rs 2.49 crore and hotmixing of various roads in Nachinola - was awaiting Expenditure Sanction from the finance department, the minister said in a written reply.
Similarly, water works of providing 50 free tap connections to individual houses in Aldona, Pompurpa, Moira, Nachinola, Bastora and Ucassaim and maintenance of water supply scheme at Quitla and Carona Calvim at a cost of Rs 10.28 lakh were completed.
