Russian saved from ending life at Ashwem — A team of firefighters while attempting to pacify the Russian who was on the roof of a house in Ashwem-Mandrem.

A 34-year-old Russian man was rescued while attempting to end his life at Ashwem-Mandrem on Wednesday afternoon.

According to reports, Pernem police alerted the fire services that the Russian man was attempting to end his life by jumping off the roof of a house in Ashwem.

A fire brigade rushed to the site and pacified the Russian man with the help of his friend. They brought him down and later handed him over to the police.
