Representatives of some of the comundiade bodies from Salcete deliberated on the controversial Coastal Zone Management Plans (CZMPs) at a meeting held at Chinchinim village on Sunday.
After social activists Abhijit Prabhudesai and Capt Wenzy Viegas briefed the comunidade representatives on the ill-effects of the CZMPs and how the draft has been prepared without taking the ground reality into account. Members of the comunidades have resolved to organize a joint meeting of the North and South Goa commundiades to chalk out the future course of action. Capt. Wenzy informed that the draft maps were projected on the screen and comunidade members were shown the short falls.
