Salil Bhatt to perform in Goa

Jaipur’s Salil Bhatt, the talented Satvik Veena virtuoso will be performing live for the first time in Goa on November 9 and 10. His two, back-to-back concerts are scheduled to be held at the open-air amphitheatre of the Kala Academy in Panjim on November 9 at 7 pm and on November 10 at the Gomant Vidya Niketan in Margao at 8.30 pm. Bhatt will be accompanied by tabla player, Himanshu Mahant of Vadodara.
The show has been conceived and organized by the Colva based, Cashewrina Events company. Salil is the son of Grammy Award winner and Padmashree, Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and is the creator of the Satvik Veena, which is a modified 19-stringed guitar. A busy artiste, Salil has performed in most of India’s leading music festivals namely, the Banganga Music festival in Mumbai, the Sawai Gandharva music festival of Pune, the Harballabh Sangeet Samorah in Jallandhar, the Pracheen Kala Kendra festival in Kolkata and the Kumar Gandharva music festival in Dewas among others.
