Sanjeevani workers suspend strike

The Sanjeevani Sugar Factory workers decided to suspend their strike following assurances from Deputy Chief Minister Babu Kavlekar regarding their pending salary and ex-gratia.

Speaking to reporters, the workers said a delegation had accompanied PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar to discuss the matter with Kavlekar, who is reported to have assured the workers of clearing their ex-gratia and other pending dues shortly.

Speaking on behalf of the workers, Swati Palkar said they would plan their next course of action if their demands were not met.
