Saraswat food fest concludes
PONDA: The three-day Saraswat food and cultural festival concluded recently in Ponda.
The event was organised in sports complex area in Ponda. Noted actress Varsha Usgaonkar, Dr Premanand Ramani, businessman Anil Khaunte, organising committee president Sandeep Khandeparkar, Gaurav Kudchadkar, Pandarinath Bodake, Sanjay Priolkar and others were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Varsha Usgaonkar said the youth should preserve the culture and should not run after western styles. “We have to preserve our music and culture,” she said.
She also commended the organizers for organizing the event which also present the varied cuisine of Goa.
Dr Ramani said efforts need to be made to help students in educational areas. “While preserving our culture, we have to also help our weaker strata,” he said.
Pandarinath Bodake welcomed the gathering, Sushant Sardesai compered the programme, while Abhay Khandeparkar proposed the vote of thanks.
