Sarzora gram sabha approves annual budget

The Sarzora gram sabha on Sunday gave its approval for the annual budget estimate for the financial year 2016-17.

At the adjourned gram sabha chaired by Sarpanch Jacinto Fernandes, members gave their stamp of approval for the budget estimates pegged at Rs 60 lakh.
Jacinto told the media after the meeting that the panchayat has not decided to take any specific development proposal while approving the budget, saying that the development proposals will be discussed and deliberated at the gram sabha meeting scheduled on April 24.
“Sarzora village panchayat falls within the category of weaker panchayats in the state. We depend on development grants received from the government,” Jacinto said.
