Attributing the recent hike in fuel prices to the rise in crude oil prices in the international market, Chief Minister said doles given to the people through the social welfare schemes will take care of the rise in the prices of fuel, including that of LPG cylinders.
The Chief Minister further said that Goa is not the only place that has registered a rise in the prices of fuel, saying it is an all India phenomenon.
When the media drew his attention to the rising prices of fuel, including LPG cylinder, the Chief Minister said: “The fuel prices have gone up not only in Goa but across the country due to the rising prices of crude oil”.
He, however, said that benefits given by the government through the social welfares schemes such as the Griha Aadhar scheme should help the people tide over the situation.
