Sena concerned over sacking of leaders

BICHOLIM: Former North Goa Shiv Sena chief Sanjay Virnodkar has expressed concern over central party leaders' decision to sack many Shiv Sena chiefs in Goa for last few months instead of concentrating on expanding the party work in Goa.

Virnodkar said in the last few months, Shiv Sena State chiefs like Ramesh Naik, Sanjay Harmalkar, Upendra Gaonkar, Adv Ajeetsingh Rane and Sudip Tamhankar were changed by the Sena central leadership within short notice, due to which people in Goa are confused over the development.

“Like in Mumbai where Shiv Sena plays a major role in handling the Maharashtra state leadership issues and administration, it could not show its strength in Goa on similar lines.”

He has advised the Shiv Sena leaders at the centre to review the party's work and concentrate on expansion instead of changing its leaders.
