Sena will raise problems affecting Bardez: Joshi

Shiv Sena State chief, Shiv Prasad Joshi on Wednesday said his party will leave no stone unturned to raise issues affecting Mapusa city and Bardez taluka.

"In the past whenever our workers raised issues affecting the city of Mapusa, the local MLA would arm twist them to silence. Now, we have a new team and we will definitely not let down the people of Mapusa and Bardez in exposing the weakness of this government," Joshi said.
The Shiv Sena state president was speaking at a function to announce the names of new executive members representing the party from Bardez.
Paresh Pankar was declared as the new Bardez president, while Ramesh Matkar and Suraj Vernekar were declared as representatives of Aldona and Mapusa respectively.
Speaking further, Joshi said although the chief minister of Goa was from the North, but a South Goa man was pulling the strings and effectively running the government.
"The imprints of pub, club, drugs, casino culture is very obvious in this government. Coconut tree becomes grass and grass becomes a coconut tree as and when they want," Joshi said.
Shiv Sena, Vice President, Jitesh Kamat said Shiv Sena will work with all its
might to spread its wings in the State.
"In the next five years, we will ensure at least 10 of our MLAs get elected in the State. We will work to bring all sections of the people in the party," Kamat said.
Two other Shiv Sena, vice-presidents, Michael Carrasco and Rakhi Naik also spoke on the occasion.
