MARGAO: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Chief Shantaram Naik has decided to put in papers from the post in response to the call given by the All India Congress Committee President Rahul Gandhi to the party senior leaders to make way for the younger lot to take up added responsibilities.
The GPCC Chief, who returned home on Monday after attending the two-day Plenary session in Delhi, told The Goan that he was inspired by Rahul Gandhi’s plea to the senior leaders to make way for the younger leaders to take up positions in the party. “I was impressed by Rahul Gandhi’s speech. I was so inspired by the appeal made by the Congress president, that I wanted to quit from the post there and then, but I decided otherwise since it would have send a wrong message”,
