All official documents related to the Rs 70 crore worth acquisition of land in Shiroda belonging to former legislator and EDC Chairman Subhash Shirodkar have been submitted to the office of the Lokayukta Justice (Retd) P K Mishra.
The documents were sought by the anti-corruption Ombudsman in the proceedings related to the complaint filed by city lawyer Aires Rodrigues alleging graft in the deal.
Justice Mishra had taken objection to the State government's failure to provide the documents as sought at the last hearing two weeks ago and had summoned Chief Secretary Dharmendra Sharma to remain personally present and ensure the documents are submitted at the next hearing scheduled for Friday.
Rodrigues in his complaint has alleged corruption in the Rs 70 crore deal in which land belonging to Shirodkar's family was acquired by the government for industrial reasons but with no 'specific purpose' mentioned in the acquisition proceedings.
Shirodkar, on the other hand, has denied any wrongdoing and claimed that the Rs 70 crore is his and his family's rightful money. He said the value of the acquired land was fixed after he approached the courts.
