Authorities seem to have taken note of the long-pending demand of residents of Zuarinagar for installing traffic signals at the accident-prone zone near MES College. Signal lights arrived on Saturday afternoon and were installed immediately.

Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha was personally present to monitor and supervise the installation of the signal lights.

Speaking to the media, Saldanha informed it was continuous follow up to get the signal lights installed. She informed the electrical connection for the signals was pending as it was in the jurisdiction of NHAI. “Soon the traffic signals would begin functioning,” she assured.

It looks like an easy job but I know how much follow up was required for this, she said and added,

“I have spoken to the NHAI in-charge, P S Dodamani, who has assured me that he will soon  get the elctrical connection for the signals, said Saldanha.
