Siya bags budding scientist contest
A science project conceived and presented by Siya Prabhudesai, a student of Vidya Vikas Academy, Margao, was adjudged the best porject of budding scientist of India in the national level science project contest held under the programme of 'Khoj Prayas-2016' at Vivekanand Global University Jaipur.
The contest was held on May 1 and 2, at the university at Rajasthan. Siya's project was titles: Generating Electricity with the help of speed breakers.' A model was was designed by Siya which could be fixed under the speed breaker constructed with special movable technique.
She was awarded a certificate in the presence of Prof VK Vijay, president of Vivekanand Global University, Prof RK Khanna, president of Indian Association of Physics Teachers and Mahesh Gupta, convenor of Khoj Prayas.
Siya was guided in her project by Abhay Bhamaikar, her parents and Nilesh Chari a fabricator from Quepem.
