Romanian national arrested
A skimmer installed at the Punjab National Bank ATM, Panaji branch was detected. According to the Chief Manager of PNB Branch, Panaji, the skimmer was installed round the 20 March 2018 by a Romanian National.
The police have arrested the accused Alex Petricia (28, Romania) residing at Colva for committing the crime of installing the skimmer device. The accused has confessed of theft of confidential data of customers using the PNB ATM at Panaji.
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the last date for linking Aadhar Card to Permanent Account Number from March 31,2018 to June 30, 2018.The earlier deadlines for linking Aadhaar card with PAN were July 31, August 31 and December 31, 2017 before extending to the last March 31, this year.
