Sleeping man killed under parked bus

The incident occurred on July 21 opposite the taxi stand at the Aquem side of the Konkan railway station, Margao when the bus driver Mohammed Shaikh allegedly started his bus and drove the bus without taking due care and caution and without ensuring that the area underneath the bus was clear.

As a result, the bus ran over an unidentified male person, aged about 45 years, who was reportedly sleeping underneath the parked bus. The person sustained critical injuries and succumbed to the injuries while being shifted to District Hospital, Margao.
