New system to be implemented from current academic year

Speaking to The Goan, Director of Education Gajanan Bhat informed, “The system has already been introduced in schools on a pilot basis. We want to implement it in all schools from the current academic year. The required training for teachers on how to use the system is likely to be given in the next few days.”
The software has been developed by Info-Tech Corporation of Goa Limited. IVRS system was proposed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) to monitor the mid-day meal system on real-time basis.
Once this system is implemented, it will enable stakeholders update information regarding mid-day meals being supplied to schools across the State through voice calls or SMS on real-time basis. The system shall place an
HOW IVRS WORKS
System places an automated call from a fixed number to designated person in every school
If designated person misses call, a missed call can be given back to the same number or send an SMS after which automated call is placed again
THE PURPOSE
To enable stakeholders update info regarding mid-day meals supplied to schools on real-time basis
To help in plugging leakages in the system
To know the menu and number of students consuming meals
Whether quality of meals provided was satisfactory or not
