Sopte felicitated at Mandrem

Leader of the Opposition Pratapsingh Rane said in politics no one should think of success, as politics is a medium of serving people and whoever enters politics with this goal never fails in his mission.
Rane was speaking after felicitating Dayanand Sopte at a function organised at Mandrem High School ground on Sunday. GPCC president Luizinho Faleiro, former Union minister Ramakant Khalap, former minister Babu Azgaonkar, Sangeeta Parab, GPCC vice-president Babi Bagkar, Dr Pramod Salgaokar, Narayan Redkar, Amit Sawant and Uprendra Gaokar were present on the occasion.
“If you serve people with a mission, they never forget you. Former MLA Dayanand Sopte is a politician of this nature and he will always be successful in his mission,” said Rane.
Appreciating the efforts of Sopte to bring together the youth, Khalap said there is no challenger to Congress party in Mandrem constituency. “Whoever will contest on Congress ticket will win if we put in hard efforts,” he said.
In his speech, Faleiro said people from Pernem are wise enough as they have got an energetic leader like Sopte, and there is no problem in Mandrem constituency.
Sopte said he will work for the Congress party. “I am not bothered whether party gives me ticket or not. In the forthcoming assembly election, Congress party candidate will definitely will from Mandrem constituency,” said Sopte.
Babi Bagkar and Sangeeta Parab also spoke on the occasion.
