District Collector South, Ajit Roy, presented a certificate and silver medal of “National Award for Teachers 2020” to SindhuPrabhu Desai Nayak, Headmistress of Govt High School, Malkarnem-Quepem, for her remarkable contribution to the field of education, on September 5.
Due to the pandemic, the award function was held through a webinar using the NIC platform. President Ram NathKovind addressed the function through video conferencing. The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education organised this national level function on Teachers’ Day to confer the national award to the best teacher of the country. This year a total of 47 teachers from the country were presented with the awards.
