The famous south Indian actor Akkineni Nagarjuna is likely to be a “Goan resident”, having reportedly bought around 6,000 sq. mtrs of land in Nerul-Bardez.
According to sources, the mutation procedure for the land was completed in 2017 and Nagarjuna’s name surfaces in Forms I and IV of the land records.
The actor through his lawyer has reportedly moved an application for partition before the Inspector of Survey and Land Records (ISLR) at Mapusa.
The hearing of this petition has been kept in September. The notice sent to other co-owners have returned and the ISLR Rajesh Pai Kuchelkar has given chance to the co-owners to put forth their say in the matter.
Goa’s world-famous attraction as a tourist destination has prompted a number of film stars to invest in land, houses and other real estate in the State.
Among those reported to have bought land or villas in Goa are Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Malaika Arora Khan & Arbaaz Khan.
