The incident took place when a group of 14 passengers, who had come from Chennai, missed their connecting flight to Delhi.
As they were left stranded, the passengers approached the Dabolim Police based at the airport to intervene into the matter. However, sensing trouble the Spice Jet officials arranged another airline tickets.
When contacted, Airport Director B C H Negi said all the 14 passengers were accommodated in an Indigo flight which left for Delhi at 5.30 pm.
Negi informed that the Spice Jet flight, Chennai to Goa, in which these 14 passengers were travelling got delayed, due to which they missed the Goa-Delhi connecting Spice Jet flight.
“All the 14 passengers were accommodated in an Indigo flight which left at 5.30 pm from Goa to Delhi,” informed Negi.
