Areas of Zuari and Morgad Vaddo in Goa Velha have been without water for 17 days which has led one of the panchas to question why the areas are being discriminated against.

“As it is, water was released on alternate days and that too for just 1-2 hours, which is insufficient. Sometimes, water is not released even on alternate days,” St Andre panch Ionu D’Souza said questioning why there was discrimination against these areas.

“The villagers are quite upset due to the non availability of water for the past 17 days,” D’Souza informed and questioned why water to their

areas would be released later and not first.

D’Souza also demanded that once normal water supply is resumed, water to Zuari and Morgad Vaddo should be supplied on a daily basis and not on alternate days.
