St Cruz panchayat authorities have filed a police complaint against unknown persons for damaging the boundary poles installed around the Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
The complaint to this effect was filed at the Old Goa police station by sarpanch Jennifer Oliveira on Monday.
Speaking to The Goan about the incident, deputy sarpanch Dominic Pereira informed that the panchayat had installed the boundary poles around the MRF to prevent parking of vehicles in the panchayat property.
“However, the same were found to be damaged on Monday morning after which a police complaint was lodged against unknown persons,” Pereira informed while adding that the CCTV footage shows some persons damaging the poles on June 24 at around 11 pm.
“We have shown the footage to the police and have asked that action be taken against the persons involved,” Pereira said.
