MARGAO
The government has issued a notification, modifying the order on the designation of Public Information Officers in the Margao Municipal Council.
As per the latest order, the ACAO will be the PIO for matters pertaining to the accounts section, administrative section, registration of births and deaths section, store and library section. The Accountant, head clerk attached to these sections will be the designated APIOs.
The ATO will be the designated PIO for matters pertaining to the taxation section, trade and establishment, signboards, house tax, rent, markets and recovery section. The tax superintendent will be the designated APIO for these sections.
As per the latest order, the Municipal Engineer Gr-II will be the new PIO for matters pertaining to the technical section, sanitary cell and vehicles of Margao Municipal Council and the ward-wise Municipal Engineer Grade-III and Junior Engineer (automobile mechanic) for vehicle of Margao Municipal Council.
