While Anjuna Police arrested two more accused persons in connection with the stabbing of the Calangute youth on Tuesday, the notorious accused Tarzan Parsekar who was admitted in the Asilo, Mapusa for chest pain has been discharged and is now back in police lockup.
With the arrest of another two accused “ Raghoba @ Cafu Palyekar of Naikawado, Calangute and Sandeep @Chockolate Kudnekar, resident of Canca “ the total of those arrested in the case has gone to 12.
Police officials said that the accused Tarzan Parsekar suddenly complained of chest pain and uneasiness on Tuesday morning. He was rushed to North Goa District Hospital, Mapusa and admitted for treatment.
“He has been discharged in the evening and is lodged back in the police lockup,” Mapusa SDPO, Jivba Dalvi said.
Earlier, a Mapusa court remanded all the 10 accused to 10 days police custody.
Dalvi informed that police were on look out for more accused in the case.
The 30-year-old youth from Calangute, Ravi Shirodkar, was stabbed in his abdomen in the wee hours of Saturday (October 1) near the Arpora-Nagoa circle.
He was shifted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim where he underwent a surgery.
Anjuna PI Prashal Dessai is investigating further under supervision of Mapusa SDPO Jivba Dalvi and SP North Shobit Saxena (IPS).
