State govt to pay revised DA from November

PANAJI

The Goa government on Tuesday increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) by three per cent of the basic pay, with effect from July 1, 2025, to help employees cope with rising prices.

With this increase, the DA has gone up to 58 per cent from the earlier 55 per cent. The hike, which follows the Central government’s decision, will benefit more than 63,000 employees of the State government and grant-in-aid educational institutions.

The revised salary will be paid from November 2025, along with arrears for the period from July to October. Earlier, in January this year, the DA was raised from 53 per cent to 55 per cent.
