CANACONA
A 34-year-old man from Dharwad died while on vacation in the State. According to Canacona police, Anup Tupsunder, along with his cousin and a friend, were on vacation in Palolem since Friday. On Monday, all three were waiting at a bus stop at Char-Rasta for a bus to return to their native place, when suddenly Tupsunder started feeling dizzy and vomited at the bus stop, before fainting and falling to the ground.
He was shifted to CHC Canacona by a 108 ambulance and from there was referred to the South Goa District Hospital at Margao for further medical treatment. On Monday night, Canacona police received a call from SGDH, Margao, that Tupsunder had died while undergoing treatment. Police further conducted an inquest panchnama and sent the body for an autopsy, where it was certified that death was caused due to “myocardial infarction consequent to occlusive coronary artery disease.” The body of the deceased was later handed over to the family for final rites.
Canacona police registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 BNSS 2023.
