The Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (DITE&C), through the Startup & IT Promotion Cell, launched the Goa Startup Accelerator Programme in Panaji. The initiative will provide mentorship, market access, investment links and growth support to startups.
IT Minister Rohan Khaunte said Goa has 734 DPIIT-registered startups, many led by women, and urged entrepreneurs to use government schemes.
An orientation was held and founders pitched ideas to experts. The five-month programme will run from February to June 2026 and end with a Demo Day.
Winners of the Goa Open Innovation Challenge and the MedTech Hackathon were felicitated. Government departments and industry bodies supporting innovation in Goa were also recognised.
