State records 100 Covid cases, 2 more deaths

PANAJI
Two more Covid-related deaths were recorded in the mortality bulletin of the Health Department on Friday raising Goa’s total Covid death toll to 815.

The deceased persons include a 73-year-old man from Bicholim and a 73-year-old woman from Margao, both of whom breathed their last at Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim. 

Meanwhile, a total of 100 new Covid cases or 5.1 per cent of the 1,948 samples have tested positive for Covid-19. 

With the daily spike touching a century, Goa’s active Covid count has risen to almost 900 cases. 

The total confirmed cases now stand at 56,371 of which 54,657 have recovered.

To date, a total of 83,096 doses of the Covid vaccines have been administered in Goa since January 16. Of these 71,086, have received the first dose of the vaccine while 12,010 have received the second and final dose.
