A delegation of the Goa State Industries Association (GSIA) along with Dr Avinash Dalal, national president of All India MSME Association (AIMA) paid a courtesy call on Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Thursday.
In a press release, the GSIA delegation informed the governor about the role played by them in partnering with the State government to develop the industrial sector and generate employment in the State.
“Various issues and problems faced by the industries and discussions with various authorities, including the chief minister, were brought to the notice of the governor. A list of the issues which were discussed with the chief minister was given to the governor for his information," said the press release.
The GSIA claimed that the governor was pleased with with efforts of GSIA to develop the MSME sector in the State.
“He was also happy to know that GSIA has moved a pre-budget proposal to the State government for affordable housing to the industrial workers,” stated the GSIA.
