A total of 70 new cases of Covid-19 were detected from among the 1,531 samples tested in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate stood at 4.5 per cent, more than double the national average of two per cent.
The total confirmed cases have now touched 55,361 of which 53,862 have recovered. A total of 700 cases are presently active.
No Covid related deaths were recorded on Saturday and the Covid victim count of Goa remains steady at 799.
