Street lights with GPRS panel launched at Sanvordem

Power Minister and Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral inaugurated the newly launched GPRS-based street lights monitoring panel at Mirabag Sanvordem.   

Speaking on the occasion, Cabral said he has managed as power minister to solve the power woes faced by people in most parts of the State.   

“I have worked overnight to see that citizens does not suffer due to power supply problems and to ascertain that department employees do their work within the allocated time period in proper manner.”   

“While doing so, I have been working on certain areas to give the best of facilities to employees in the electricity department,” said Cabral.   

The minister informed that the newly launched GPRS-based monitoring panel is equipped with WiFi, Internet and bluetooth facilities.   

“Whenever there is any problem related to the functioning of street lights connected to the system, a signal will be sent to the main control room housed at Panaji and this will help in immediately rectifying the problem,” explained Cabral.   

Thanking Cabral for launching the new system panel in his ward, Sanvordem Panch Sanjay Naik, who was also present at the function, said Cabral had been very supportive and completed all proposals submitted by him to the minister’s office.
