Swaramangesh “ The Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Memorial Classical Music & Dance Festival will be held on December 9, 10 and 11 at The Gera School Auditorium (AC), Kadamba Plateau, Panaji.
This festival will be inaugurated on December 9 at 4 pm by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Minister for Art & Culture Govind Gaude and Minister for Tourism Rohan Khaunte will be present as guests of honour.
Renowned orator from Pune Dr Sanjay Upadhye will be present as the guest speaker. The audience will be welcomed by an enchanting violin recital by Pt. Milind Raikar. This will be followed by a “Natyageet” recital by the well-known vocalist from Mumbai Swaradhish Bharat Balvalli.
On December 10, the session will start with a classical vocal performance by Dr Shashank Maktedar at 4:30 pm. This will be followed by a flute recital by the renowned flautist Rakesh Chaurasia. Later in the evening, an energetic kathak classical performance by Pandit Rajendra Gangani will be the concluding performance.
On December 11, the first performance will begin at 9:30 am with the classical vocal recital by Sangborti Das. This will be followed by a classical vocal recital by Arshad Ali Khan. Following this, there will be a tabla and pakhawaj jugalbandi between Pandit Anindo Chatterjee and Pandit Pratap Patil. The second session will begin at 4:30 pm with a sitar recital by Anupama Bhagwat. The concluding performance of the festival will be a classical vocal recital by Ustad Rashid Khan. The festival is open to all music lovers.
