The Green Field Mopa Taxi Association met Pernem Road Transport officials Rajesh Naik Pralhad Desai to know the status on the allotment of a taxi counter to local taxi operators at the Manohar International Airport.
The association members said they have been demanding a taxi stand at the Mopa Airport for the last six months and insisted that the process should be expedited on priority.
The RTO officials assured the association that the process would be conducted according to the rules of the transport department.
The association members Bhaskar Narulkar, Adv Jitendra Gaonkar, Adv Prasad Shahapurkar, Bharat Bagkar, Suresh Parab, Sanjay Aroskar and Nandkumar Malvankar were present at the time of discussion.
