A press note issued by GCCI said, “The certificate of zoning issued by TCP towards the applied survey number for plots used to be very vague and inconclusive”. There are various categories of land like orchard, agricultural, settlement, forest, industrial and etc. A source informed, “As of now, the zoning certificates are useless. They only say a certain piece of land is part orchard and part settlement. Such certificates should say what portion of land and how many square meters is orchard, agricultural, forest and etc.” TCP s circular also said that certificate should be issued within 7 working days from date of payment of fees.
