Temple to remain closed from today

In view of the strict guidelines released by the government on Wednesday and in view of highest spurt in daily Covid-19 cases in Goa till date, the Managing Committee sought guidance through oracle from Shree Dadh, stated Shree Mahalasa Saunsthan Mardol in a press note.

As per the guidance received, all the gates to the temple precincts shall be closed for public from Friday till further notice. Daily rituals including Sunday/Panchami Palakhi shall continue to be performed in the presence of priests, sevekaris, resident staff and Managing Committee members only, states the press note.

Accommodation is suspended with immediate effect and canteen remains closed for general public. No new bookings for halls will be accepted, however, scheduled weddings and thread ceremonies in the halls will be allowed by following government guidelines. 

Devotees are requested not to visit the temple and cooperate with the management till further notice, the press release concluded.

Tree uproots, destroys toilet at Pilar

OLD GOAA large mango tree fell on a toilet and destroyed the structure at Sinari Bhat-Pilar on Thursday.According to sources, the mango tree came crashing down on the toilet belonging to Kishor Naik. Luckily, there was nobody inside the toilet at the time of the incident.The impact of the tree fall was such that even the septic tank was severely damaged.
