OCTOBER 1, 2002: Two Ilyushin Il-38s collided and crashed near Dabolim Airport killing 12 naval personnel in the planes and 3 civilians on the ground
OCTOBER 15, 2012: Three naval personnel, including two pilots, were killed when a Naval Chetak helicopter crashed near the Dabolim airport runway.
JANUARY 3, 2018: A trainee pilot ejected to safety after a MiG 29K aircraft of the Indian Navy went off the runway and crashed during takeoff at the INS Hansa base in Dabolim airport before catching fire.
JUNE 8, 2019: A detachable fuel tank of a Naval MiG-29K fighter aircraft fell off and burst into flames on the runway.

NOV 18, 2014: Around 171 passengers and crew in a Delhi-bound Air India flight via Mumbai had a lucky escape as the flight encountered a bird strike and a tyre burst during take-off at Dabolim airport.
