Theft at city mobile shop

PANAJI: Panaji Police on Friday, registered a theft case against two unknown persons for breaking into a mobile shop and decamping with at least eight mobile phones worth approximately Rs 85,000.

The cops received a call at around 8 am after which the panchnama was conducted.

The accused have been booked under Section 464 and 380 read with 34 of IPC.

PANAJI One of the primary questions facing the Courts and others is whether the land acquired by the Leading Hotels Limited of the Colopo (Khalap) family at Tiracol is indeed agricultural. The Leading Hotels in its brief submissions before the single-member Sandip Jacques inquiry committee contended that “the lands are not agricultural tenanted lands’ and that the names of those figuring in the tenants column and the cultivators column of the record of rights were erroneous…
