Theft at Cortalim home, valuables stolen

A case of theft was registered at the Verna Police Station following a complaint by one Avinash Kumar Jha, a resident of Birla Cross Junction, Cortalim.

The complainant, originally from Supaul, Bihar, reported that unknown miscreants broke into his flat between 8:25 AM and 9:20 AM on 27th September 2024.  

“The accused allegedly gained entry through the main door and stole several valuables, including a OnePlus Nord mobile phone worth Rs 30,000, a Dell Latitude laptop worth Rs 18,000, a wallet containing Rs 290, and a Redmi 91 mobile phone worth Rs 7,000. The total value of the stolen items is estimated to be Rs 55,290,” said the complaint.  

The case is currently under investigation, led by ASI Paresh V. Faldessai under the supervision of PI Melson Colaco and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
