A theft occurred at a Morjim supermarket during the wee hours of Monday. Thieves decamped with cash, a DVR system, and a substantial stash of liquor bottles, all worth Rs 1.50 lakh.
According to the shop owner, the burglary seems to have occurred around 1 a.m., shortly after he closed the store. The owner claims that the culprits entered the premises through the back, potentially by climbing a nearby coconut tree.
"They must’ve entered from the back door probably by climbing the coconut tree. They look like professionals," he said.
The theft was discovered at 6 am when the owner returned to open the store. After, which the police were notified.
